Laser Suite & Facilities
Dr Lapere consults at Melrose House, 14 Palmyra Road, Claremont.
Fluorescein angiograms, laser treatments and intravitreal injections are performed at the Laser Suite, situated adjacent to the Peninsula Eye Hospital in the Kingsbury/Claremont Hospital complex.
Intraocular procedures (cataract and retinal procedures) are performed at Peninsula Eye Hospital in the Kingsbury/Claremont Hospital complex in Wilderness Road, Claremont.
Radioactive plaque brachytherapy procedures are performed at the UCT (University of Cape Town) private academic hospital, situated in Anzio Road, Observatory.
Laser Suite
The laser suite is situated in Peninsula Eye Clinic, on the ground floor of Claremont Hospital in the Kingsburg/Claremont complex. This facility is shared by all the eye specialists in the surrounding area. Intravitreal injections, laser procedures, Orbscans and fluorescein angiographies are performed at this facility. The friendly staff (Bibi, Jackie and Marselle) will make you feel right at home and tend to your every need.
Life Peninsula Eye Hospital
The Eye Hospital is situated adjacent to the laser suite, on the ground floor of Claremont Hospital in the Kingsburg/Claremont complex. All intraocular procedures, either under intravenous sedation or general anaesthetic, are performed here. The facilities are state-of-the-art and the theatre personnel are friendly and highly competent.
UCT Academic Hospital
The University of Cape Town Private Academic Hospital is situated in Anzio Road, Observatory, adjacent to Groote Schuur Hospital.
